Lent Lunches

You are invited to join us at St Giles at any time between 12 noon and 2pm on Saturday 7th and Saturday 28th March.  We shall be having a simple bread and homemade soup lunch with a little something for dessert.  You won’t go hungry!

Vegetarians will be catered for but if you have any other special dietary requirements or any other queries please contact Jane on 07766434847 or email janem.st.giles.dallington@gmail.com

All will be very welcome. This year we are supporting St Giles itself; we need to spend c.£20,000 on urgent roof repairs. Donations towards the repairs will be gratefully received as presently, in this very wet winter, water is finding its way into the building.

Messenger Magazine Readers Annual get-together and AGM Wednesday 26 November 7:00 pm

ALL readers of the Messenger Magazine are warmly invited. There will be FREE DRINKS (alcoholic and soft) and nibbles.

This is partly a social occasion – an opportunity to have a relaxing chat with neighbours and others in Brightling, Dallington, Mountfield, and Netherfield. It is also our AGM (Annual General Meeting) so there will be some brief formalities (very brief, we promise!) including electing the committee that runs the magazine between parties (sorry, AGMs).

We will also be showing off our ideas for an updated cover design – please come and give us your views.

The committee hopes that as many people as possible will come. It’s an opportunity to show your support for the magazine (if you like it) or tell us what’s wrong (if you don’t like it!) – or just a relaxing evening with a glass of wine or something.

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening.
Andrew Wedmore (Chair, Messenger magazine)
